Members of the Laurentian University community and Harquail School of Earth Sciences are remembering Professor Anthony (Tony) Beswick, an esteemed Emeritus professor at our school.
Professor Beswick passed away on May 24, 2024. He was 82.
Dr. Beswick joined the Geology Department at Laurentian University as the fifth faculty member in 1968 and helped it grow in its early stages into what would eventually become the Harquail School of Earth Sciences. He played a significant role in training many students and contributing to the department's development during its formative years.
