News from the Northwest Territories Geoscience Forum

 

The Northwest Territories Geoscience Forum  in Yellowknife, NWT, takes place this week, with Laurentian University attending at the trade show and through technical sessions. One can visit us at the Trade Show (booth #77) to learn more about the Harquail School of Earth Sciences, its Mineral Exploration Research Centre and the Metal Earth project.

We are also represented by three technical talks at the Northwest Territories Geoscience Forum. The topics presented are:

  • The Fury and Hecla Geoscience Project: Overview of the 2018 Regional Bedrock Mapping and Thematic Research, presented by our Sedimentology Professor Dr. Alessandro Ielpi  
  • Sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Husky Creek Formation, Nunavut, Canada, presented by Robert Meek, presented by our MSc candidate Geology, on left in the picture
  • Metal Earth, a Progress Report, presented by the Director of MERC and Metal Earth Dr. Ross Sherlock
