Laurentian University brings mining and exploration expertise to PDAC
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(SUDBURY, ON - June 8, 2022) Laurentian University’s Harquail School of Earth Sciences, Goodman School of Mines, and Mineral Exploration Research Centre (MERC) will be hosting a booth on the main trade show floor at the Prospectors and Developers Association Convention (PDAC) in Toronto from June 13-15.
MIRARCO will also be on hand, exhibiting within PDAC’s Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS) Pavillion to highlight its innovative research, technologies, solutions, and services.
Representatives from Laurentian University and MIRARCO are ready to discuss ways to continue to meet mining sector needs in education, research, and technology; bridging current and emerging knowledge and skills gaps.
Visitors to the Laurentian University and MIRARCO booths, #1230 and #1036, respectively, can expect to find information about programs, courses, professional development, research, laboratory and other services, career opportunities, partnerships, and more.
PDAC participants should mark their calendars and attend the following activities/presentations:

Student Minerals Colloquium
Join us for the 13th annual PDAC-SEG Student Minerals Colloquium (SMC) poster competition, which takes place in Toronto from June 13-15 and online June 28-29. Six student researchers from the Harquail School of Earth Sciences will be among approximately 50 students from around the world presenting their research at PDAC in-person and online. The in-person awards ceremony and reception take place on Tuesday, June 14, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., in room 717.
