Welcome to the Mineral Exploration Research Centre
The Mineral Exploration Research Centre (MERC) is an exploration geoscience centre focused on Precambrian ore systems research, education, and exploration methodology and targeting. It is a semi-autonomous research centre at Laurentian University (LU) that is affiliated with the Harquail School of Earth Sciences (HES) and one of seven mining-related research centres and departments at LU that form an integral part of the Goodman School of Mines. MERC corporate membership come in 3 different levels (Foundation, $20,000; Tier 1, $10,000; and Tier 2, $5,000). They provides varying levels of benefits, including access to a Members-Only area of the website that contains copies of recent publications, reports, power point presentations, workshops, posters recent graduate student theses and the CV’s of all undergraduate and graduate students for download.
