Objectives of this Workshop:

The purpose of this workshop is to inform geology and earth science undergraduate and graduate students on perspectives related to conducting exploration on First Nation traditional land use areas, and to learn about the main concerns of First Nation peoples in regard to exploration and mining. The workshop will be presented by experts from First Nation communities in Northern Ontario, from the mining industry, and from government. This workshop is an opportunity for all to share their views and experiences in a nonconfrontational environment. Ample time will be allotted for discussion and questions.
